“Neighbors with neighbors”: This is the heart of the Hyde Park-Kenwood Food Pantry. Food insecurity is a continuous pressing need in our community and our programs are busier than ever before. Please consider including Hyde Park-Kenwood Food Pantry in your ongoing and year-end charitable giving. Your donations directly support our ability to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, and to acquire and maintain our cold storage units (freezers and refrigerators) and handle other expenses of our operation.
Financial donations to the Hyde Park-Kenwood Food Pantry are tax-deductible and you will receive an acknowledgment letter for filing your taxes. You are invited to donate to the Food Pantry through a personal check, or via PayPal by clicking the “Donate” button or scanning the QR code.
*Please note that PayPal charges a convenience fee for online donations. If you’re able to, we recommend giving cash or making a check out to the “Hyde Park-Kenwood Food Pantry.” You can drop off or mail donations to: Hyde Park-Kenwood Food Pantry, c/o Hyde Park Union Church, 5600 S. Woodlawn Ave. Chicago, IL 60637.
Food Donations: If you and others you know (at your school, office, or other location) are interested in donating food or other items for the food pantry to distribute, please contact Margy Mitchell at mmm17@uchicago.edu for a list of the most needed items, and to speak about arrangements. This can be a great way to join our work. Thank you for considering this!
